ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL TRAINING COURSE FOR GREEN ACCREDITATION

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The Advance Professional Course conducted by the GBCSL is designed to update and upgrade the knowledge and skills of Associate Professionals of the GBCSL to practice effectively as Green Building Consultants and simultaneously qualify for becoming an Accredited Green Professional. This course is designed to give special attention for enhancing knowledge and skills of the participants on advanced technological features for improving water efficiency, energy efficiency, thermal comfort and indoor air quality etc. In addition, practical sessions will be conducted on the Calculation of Global Warming Potential and Energy modeling and Simulation using software applications.

BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM

The Associate Professional Training Course conducted by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL) is designed to train property industry professionals to perform as Green Professionals who could lead the transformation of the construction industry in Sri Lanka with Green building practices to ensure the future wellbeing of our planet
GBCSL Training Course will create an awareness in building professionals to use their conceptual skills and positive attitude towards the betterment of the environment and thereby the well-being and sustainability of the world
GBCSL Training Course will increase the professional behavior and due care of the practitioners due to being knowledgeable on the industry standards. Hence, the professionals will be recognized by respective parties as skilled, experienced, and up to date in knowledge.
New theories, concepts, and ideas can be learnt in this industry of Green Building.

GREEN^SL® ACCREDITATION

Those who are successfully completed the Associate Professional Training Course with receiving the certification GBCSL Associated Professional’ (GREENSL® AP) can be Registered as a Green AP in GBCSL. After registration and enlisting, the AP can also apply to get themselves involved in green projects of the Council. Once they complete at least one year’s experience in Green projects acceptable to GBCSL and participate in professional development programs including Advanced Professional Course, Energy Management Course and other intensive and short courses conducted by the Council, the APs will be qualified to apply to become Accredited Green Professionals (GREENSL® AccP) of the GBCSL. Accredited Professionals will be awarded with the ‘Accredited Membership’ of the GBCSL and will become part and parcel of the Council
