Chairman's Message

Sri Lanka, like most other countries around the world, is facing an immense challenge, to create sustainable buildings for the future. We all know that the buildings play a critical role in human and planetary health. Understanding this core value, Green Building Council of Sri Lanka plays a vital role in converting the construction industry with green building practices and promoting sustainability concepts to the public.

One of our key strengths is the diversity of our Corporate Members including state sector organizations, private companies, universities and several other institutions. We possess the largest network of green professionals who play a very active and dynamic role in transforming the construction industry in Sri Lanka with green building practices to ensure the prosperity for our economy, protection for our environment and wellbeing of our society.

Finally, I hope that with the support of all of you, we can accelerate our journey to create a sustainable built environment.
